Com Com orders Vodafone/2degrees pricing story offline

The Commerce Commission has ordered NBR to take offline its story revealing the pricing terms of Vodafone's deal with newcomer 2degrees.

The commission claims NBR's exclusive report, titled "Revealed: Vodafone’s secret deal with 2degrees" may have breached a Commerce Commission confidentiality order and section 100 of the Commerce Act.

NBR is seeking legal advice on whether to keep the story down or not.

Until the expiry of the confidentiality order, any republication of the content of the NBR article also risks breaching the Commerce Act.

Whether the story stays offline or not, I support Chris Keall and think he's an outstanding journalist, well worth paying to read even though I can't afford to do so.

What a dick, you shouldn't be allowed to print something like this, you may think it is in the public interest. But companies should be allowed to have some form of trust/secrecy.

Steve I think you must have shares in Two Degrees.

Even the CC said it was happy for the deal to be made public. Only TD said it didn't, and now we can see why.
