Cracks in National-Green relationship

Cracks in National's relationship with the Green Party are starting to show and the Greens want energy efficiency and conservation removed from the two parties' memorandum of understanding.

The issue, revealed in a Pundit blog entry by Claire Browning, began after the MOU was signed in April, when Ms Fitzsimons was left out of updating and revising the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (EECS) - contrary to what was signed.

Energy Minister Gerry Brownlee announced in August the EECS (developed by Ms Fitzsimons in 2007) would be replaced.

According to the post, Ms Fitzsimons was continually left out of the loop and phoned Prime Minister John Key in September to say if the matter with Mr Brownlee was not resolved the Greens would withdraw.

Green Party leaders Metiria Turei and Russel Norman wrote to Mr Key withdrawing from that part of the agreement, after hearing nothing.

Good riddence to the WaterMelon Party the whole agreement was fraught with danger.

The greens live in lalaland, they shouldn't even be in parliament, haven't got an elected member, are usually voted in by some empty headed fluffy middle income stay at home mum who thinks she is doing something wonderful for the planet, but if questioned wouldn't even know what it's all about, they just follow the leader like sheep.

Get rid of MMP and we get rid of a lot of time wasting trouble, and that's just what the greens are, they're not interested in saving the planet, more to the point it's communisim through the back door that's their ultimate aim.

I've got new for them communism hasn't worked anywhere in the world, so why keep plugging for it here.

Get a life

who cares what the green's think. well actually, that's ironic - there is no evidence suggest the greens have the cognitive capability to think.

but, if they do, the humorous point is that they actually believe that Key sits there trembling about a tin pot MOU with the greens....come on.....he's too busy signing us up to the world government agreement

Key is just been allowing input not the CONTROL that they used to enjoy- Maybe they should be renamed to better reflect their values- The NZ Dope Party
