DraftFCB nabs Air New Zealand lead advertising agency account

DraftFCB is Air New Zealand’s new lead advertising agency.

The agency picked up the full service account, apart from media, after a competitive pitch.

It is understood there were about four agencies in the pitch, and that DraftFCB pitched before Christmas.

Air New Zealand joins Mitre 10, The National Bank, Genesis Energy, NZI, Greggs, Pak ‘n’ Save and BMW under DraftFCB’s care.

DraftFCB will start work from March onwards.

Saatchi & Saatchi on the roster

One of the agencies pitching was Saatchi & Saatchi, who said it had been included on Air New Zealand's roster.

The agency was thrilled to be included, Saatchi & Saatchi chief executive Nicky Bell said.

"We really enjoyed the process they ran for the pitch and getting to know their team, and we’re looking forward to getting started."

Congrats to Draft, they're a great agency and a perfect fit for Air NZ.

What on earth are Saatchi's claiming with a 'roster' position? They clearly didn't win and are scrambling to save face in some way I guess.

Why the cheap shot at Saatchi's?
They're "claiming ... a 'roster' position" because Air New Zealand said they actually have one in the official press release. So of course it will be printed, and of course they'll provide a comment when asked for one.
Big clients choosing to have more than one agency is becoming more and more common - happens all the time in bigger markets. It may or may not lead to great work, but it's clearly the client's choice. So let's let Saatchi's have at least some congrats - they obviously earned it.

There are many forms and kinds of advertising. There is the advertising signs and advertising banners that you can use to improve your advertising campaign.
