Statistics New Zealand has made it easier for businesses to get information they need.
Statistics Minister Maurice Williamson welcomed the changes on the agency's website.
"The Business Toolbox improves access to a wealth of government-held information and will be especially useful for small and medium-sized businesses as well as community groups, researchers and policy-makers," Mr Williamson said.
"Businesses will be able to use the web-based tool to access industry profiles and a variety of information that will allow them to find their target customers, evaluate industry performance and support their decision-making around marketing efforts and business location."

Statistics NZ
Better access to statistics doesn't mean much if the statistics are irrelevant.
I've not seen a Stats NZ questionnaire that asked meaningful questions.
When I tried to help them improve the relevance, there was zero interest - just bullying language telling me I could go to prison if I didn't fill in the ridiculously useless questionnaire...
I'm still at large, running with a band of Stats NZ-avoiding brigands, laughing in the face of statistical improbability....
Good luck with that one Maurice...
