It's been a serious week for Google, with Maps its elbowed out of iOS 6 in favour Apple Maps, and YouTube removed from the iPhone's magic circle.

But the search giant has ended the week on a high note, introducing support for Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon searches.

To execute a search, all you need to do is type "Bacon number" in to Google, followed by the name of the actor whose degrees of separation you wish to gauge:

But yet it can be done:
