Google's NZ search share remains above 90% - Hitwise
With Microsoft doing little to launch its new search engine, Bing.com, in New Zealand, Google's out-size local market share continues - at least according to statistics Hitwise has collected from its panel of 460,000 Kiwi surfers.
The Australian-based market researcher's May figures show the US and NZ iterations of Google holding 91.5% marketshare - actually down a snick from April's 92.5%, but still miles ahead of the 60% to 70% that the search giant holds in most territories.
Microsoft's Bing.com is up a fraction to 2.16%. Most of the features that differentiate Bing, including its travel and booking service, are not available outside the US.
