The Maritime Union wants the Employment Court to declare Ports of Auckland (PoAL) lock out illegal.

The union filed an injunction this morning but it is not yet known when it will be heard.

PoAL yesterday gave the striking unionists 14 days notice of a lockout, which will begin on April 6.
