Kiwi porn king's empire shrinks

One of porn king Steve Crow’s media companies has been liquidated following an application from printers PMP Maxum to the High Court at Auckland.

Mr Crow is best known for organising the controversial Boobs on Bikes parade but is also a former Auckland mayoral candidate.

His company Eden Media, formerly Vixen TV and Vixen Media, is owned by CVC Group Limited, which also owns Vixen Publications and Malibu Media.

Brass Magazine, which was also owned by CVC, was liquidated in August last year.

An NBR source says PMP has been complaining for at least two years that Mr Crow's bills had been left unpaid for long periods of time.

Mr Crow could not be reached for comment and NBR was told he was too busy to speak to the media.

The liquidation of this company comes at a time when many media outlets are visibly struggling.

3media Group appointed a liquidator earlier this month after the company failed to sell its stable of 15 publications in a tender last month. While Fairfax Media said it was seeking registration under the nine-day fortnight.

To the best of my knowledge nobody called me about this.

Hi Steve,
I rang Vixen Publications this afternoon and was told you would not be available to talk to me until Monday. I asked to leave a message and was told this would not be possible.
I would be happy to talk to you about what is happening in magazines at the moment so please feel to contact me.
Thanks
Lucy
