Krukziener liquidation bid adjourned

A liquidation attempt against property developer Andrew Krukziener’s company has been adjourned for three months so he can get a repayment plan approved.

Telecommunications company CallPlus is chasing Krukziener Properties over a small debt described by Mr Krukziener’s lawyer Lawrence Herzog as being a few thousand dollars.

Today in the High Court at Auckland Associate Judge Jeremey Doogue granted Mr Herzog’s request for an adjournment, scheduling the next hearing of the application for December 3.

Mr Krukziener’s payment plan involves an initial lump sum then monthly instalments.

He has much bigger fish to fry, however; on November 17 and 18 the High Court will hear his creditors proposal as he tries to clear about $50 million of debt.

Mr Krukziener is also awaiting judgment in a tax case after he appealed a Taxation Review Authority ruling that loans from a trust and company that supported his lifestyle for 12 years were assessable income.
