Maori MP looks to be flouting agreement
Maverick Maori Party MP Hone Harawira appears to be flouting his party's confidence and supply agreement with the Government.
He has put forward a member's bill seeking to entrench Maori seats.
In the confidence and supply agreement signed between the parties after National's 2008 election win, a paragraph states ..."the Maori Party and the National Party will not be pursuing the entrenchment of the Maori seats in the current Parliamentary term".

Hone Heke strikes again
Hone's problem is that he does not consider non-Maori to be real people, so its OK to steal from and lie to them. A bit like how Popes used to absolve Catholic monarchs from oaths and treaties with 'unbelievers"
Maori and Deals
Unfortunately Maori have a long history of reneging on deals, even between themselves.
Moral of story , never do a deal with Maori, verbal or written!
Arrogance seems to have no limits
This guy keeps stepping over the line in various ways. But does not get any real smack on the hand. so like any teenager does, he will keep pushing the boundaries until he comes a cropper one way or another.
The dangerous part is that his arrogance steps up several notches each time.
Pakeha and Deals
I think comments like "Moral of the story, never do a deal with Maori werbal and written" encourages hatred and division. It isolates Maori discourages them engaging in places like this website and the business community. Anonymous postings like these are great to reveal hidden racism in our community. It quickly becomes clear why Maori and any other minority group have to battle to get ahead, beacuse they have to put up with this sort of crap on a everyday basis.
