McDonald’s to attempt scrambled egg world record

Fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s is attempting to create a Guinness World Records™ record in Christchurch today by cooking the “World’s Largest Scrambled Egg.”

To make the world record attempt McDonald’s will use more than 20,000 eggs and a whopping 100 litres of cream.

It will be cooked in a specially made dish measuring 5.4m across and 150ml deep.

The event will be held in Cathedral Square where the cooked eggs will be officially weighed at 7:30am.

McDonald’s will be using the record attempt to promote its use of free range eggs in all Christchurch and Dunedin restaurants, a change starting today
