Mediaworks sees brand growth
Mediaworks Radio is trumpeting growth in some of its key network brands in New Zealand.
The latest Research International commercial radio survey shows that The Rock, The Breeze, and Solid Gold networks have all increased their national audiences, while The Edge has remained steady.
And on the talk radio front, Radio Live has gained on its competitor Newstalk ZB, increasing its market share 21%.
“This is a pleasing result across the networks and proves the continued success of our brand building strategy across the audience spectrum to deliver strong, targeted audiences for our advertisers,” says Jana Rangooni, Mediaworks Radio’s Group Programme Director- Music.
“Once again, The Rock is the most listened to music station in New Zealand, with an 11% national market share and The Edge retains its lead as the music station with the most listeners in New Zealand, with a weekly average of 424,200 people.”
Group programme director Talk Mitch Harris says the improvement in Radio Live’s market share nationally was encouraging.
“We are delighted to see this growth nationwide, especially with consolidation for some of our key shows which are challenging our competitors strongly,” says Mr Harris
