Not everyone keen on ANZ's Facebook spiel

An ANZ Bank initiative to drum up customers tonight on Facebook has irked some Facebook users.

The bank's mobile mortgage managers will use Facebook to host a live chat forum on the bank's website between 7 and 8 tonight in a bid to sign up new home loan customers.

But the invite to join them has not gone down well with all users – some say they have reported the bank’s invite as spam and have asked for it to “get off their feed”.

ANZ has previously hosted live chat sessions with its sponsored Black Caps and ceo David Hisco in September last year when the bank announced the closure of the National Bank brand.

The first home lending live chat was held in November and the bank says hundreds of people took part.

Then don't "like" or "subscribe" to their news feed then you won't get ANZ marketing...pretty simple really, dunno why people would complain about it if they've "liked" the page!!!

It just shows up in your feed if you 'like' them or not - part of the new advertising. You notice it more when you're on mobile, I think.
