Vita seeks nod to buy Pacific brands assets

Privately-owned furniture company Vita NZ has applied for competition clearance to acquire certain assets of Pacific Brands.
The Commerce Commission said Vita was seeking clearance to acquire the New Zealand foams, flooring and bedding businesses of Pacific Brands.
Vita also makes foam and a range of furniture and consumer products. Pacific Brands is listed on both the Australian and the New Zealand stock exchanges.
