Waiwera Water liquidation application dismissed
Liquidation proceedings against world-renowned bottle water company Waiwera Water was dismissed in the High Court on Friday.
KML Retail Management Services had filed the application over an unpaid $35,000 bill for unpaid merchandising services.
Lawyers for KML Retail Management Services asked that the application be discontinued in court but no reason for this was given.
KML Retail Management Services managing director Andrew Clyne declined to comment on the case saying it was inappropriate.
And Waiwera Water’s chief executive Peter Coleman could not be reached for comment.
Waiwera Water is owned by a company called Ywera, which in turn is owned by three New Zealand shareholders.
The website says Waiwera Artesian Water is still bottled at the same place it has been done for the last 130 years.
It adds that last year the water was voted the World’s Best Bottled Water by UK wine Magazine Decanter after 24 bottles of water were tried in a blind taste test.
