Xero, Kiwibank resolve iOS 6 problems
Kiwibank and Xero have both sounded the all-clear for their iPhone apps with iOS 6.
Both companies had warned users that their mobile apps could misbehave after customers upgraded to iOS 6 (the lastest version of Apple's software that runs iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch).
Xero said changes to the way the Safari web browser cached (temporarily stored) data "caused things to break quite badly" with its Xero Touch app.
I was a common problem on iOS 6 for many companies' apps Rod Drury told NBR this morning.
The online accounting company submitted a fix to Apple and, like Kiwibank, says it's now safe to make the move to iOS 6.
There is one proviso: if you have already used Xero Touch or Kiwibank's app with iOS 6, you should delete it then reinstall.
