Vodka king buys Trilogy skincare company

The country's best known cocktail king has mixed with a local skincare company to conquer the world of beauty.

Listed company Ecoya – headed by Geoff Ross - has just bought 100% of Trilogy Natural Products for $10 million up front and will shell out up to $10 million of an additional earn out payment consisted of 50% paid in cash and 50% in Ecoya shares issued at $1 each.

42 Below founders to offer investors a sniff of passion

They turned their vodka into a global success story – now the founders of 42 Below are looking to add some fragrance to the local sharemarket.

Geoff Ross, Stephen Sinclair and Grant Baker are considering a $10 million IPO to fund international expansion of Ecoya, a body, bath and home fragrance provider.

The proposed offer, expected in March or April, would be conditional on NZX accepting Ecoya’s shares for listing and would be partially underwritten by The Business Bakery LP.

Bacardi appoints Lion Nathan as NZ distributor

International iquor company Bacardi has appointed Lion Nathan New Zealand as the sole distributor for all Bacardi brands, including 42 Below vodka, in New Zealand.

The new distribution agreement will take effect on November 1.

Bacardi's existing distribution agreement is with Hancocks, once owned by Lion Nathan but now combined with the Jakicevich family’s Glengarry business.

Bacardi and Lion Nathan, now a Kirin Holdings subsidiary, have had a joint venture distribution company in Australia, Barcadi Lion, since 2003.
