NZ Post wins NBR Arts Sponsorship Award

NZ Post group marketing manager Peter Loveridge accepts the overall winner’s trophy from Prime Minister Helen Clark and NBR publisher Barry Colman, at the 2008 NBR Awards for Sponsorship of the Arts.

NZ Post was awarded the overall prize for its sponsorship of the Book Awards for Children and Young Adults. The gala featured performances by the APO, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Tim Beveridge and his Neophonic Jazz Orchestra, and the NBR New Zealand Opera’s Emerging Artists.

If the rehearsal I saw is anything to go by the new production of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill’s The Threepenny Opera will be the must see play this winter.

Entries Open for Annual NBR Arts Sponsorship Awards

Entries are now open for the 11th annual NBR Awards for Sponsorship of the Arts, which are held in association with Creative New Zealand and THE EDGE. Art sponsors have until 29 May to enter.
 
Now in their eleventh year, the Awards acknowledge those partnerships between business and the arts that demonstrate a high level of creativity, commitment and vision, as well as important business benefits.
 
To be eligible, companies must have sponsored an arts event or organisation in the year to June 2008.
