Auckland Chamber of Commerce's chief executive says the economic uncertainty is unnecessary. 

The NZIER survey index sees the outlook for the three months again move from a net -1% to a net -5%. 

Some Wellington business owners appear more confident about the outlook for the national economy than they do about their own – but the response was very low.

Just 16% of businesses surveyed by the Auckland chamber of commerce think the business environment will improve in the next six months.
