A Grey Lynn man discovers if he wants fibre today, the promise of "free" installation will turn into bill running into hundreds of dollars. UPDATED with Telecom comments.

"There is existing product that combines copper and fibre for an aerial drop. Therefore no issue with RMA.... I just dont know why Chorus won't use it."
