Restaurant Brands’ bedding down of its new Carls Jr stores were affected by months-long strikes at US west coast ports but the hamburger chain rollout is back on track.
Profit rose to $1.1 million in the six months ended Feb. 28, from $800,000 a year earlier.
Profit shrank to $373,000 in the year Dec. 31, from $2.5 million a year earlier.
The loss narrowed to $12.6 million in calendar 2014, from a loss of about $31 million a year earlier.
Profit fell to $6 million in the 12 months ended Sept. 30.
