Sensation liquidation puts employment dispute; $20m lawsuit on ice

An employment dispute between Sensation Yachts and its former managing director Paul Sills could be delayed indefinitely because the company is now in liquidation.

Mr Sills would not comment on his current dealings with Sensation Yachts or its director Ivan Erceg for fear of further retribution.

Mr Erceg has also taken legal action against Mr Sills.

Mr Sills told NBR that the state of the employment dispute hang in the balance and it was not clear whether the receivers Mr Erceg appointed last week would take over the case or not.

Erceg's Sensation Yachts finally in liquidation

After months of dodging enormous bills Ivan Erceg’s luxury boat building company Sensation Yachts has finally been forced into liquidation.

Creditor Public Trust filed an application to liquidate the troubled company on Friday, which was approved at the High Court at Auckland.

Peri Finnigan of McDonald Vague was appointed as liquidators of Sensation Yachts yesterday.

Ms Finnigan said McDonald Vague had contact with Mr Erceg and that they had spoken to him today.

Erceg must pay $35m after Supreme Court dismisses case

Ivan Erceg is going to have to pay his $35 million dollar bill for three super yachts his boat yard Sensation Yachts was contracted to build after he exhausted all legal avenues.

Sensation Yacht’s owner Ivan Erceg had been trying to avoid paying $US21.5 million ($34.5 million) to Cayman Island-registered company Balenia for three partially finished yachts.
