Institute backs Dominion Finance director

Dominion Finance director Vance Arkinstall may have resigned from the Investment Savings and Insurance Association, but fellow director Rick Bettle has retained his position as a presenter for the Institute of directors.

Both men are among six directors of Dominion Finance Group and sister company North South Finance Group facing criminal and civil charges brought by the Securities Commission.

Strategic’s loan book up for sale

Strategic Finance’s loan book is up for sale, receivers said today.

PricewaterhouseCoopers, receivers of the second biggest finance company to collapse in this country, has written to investors today to update them on the state of the collapsed financier.

The firm’s partners John Fisk and Colin McCloy said they had received several expressions of interest regarding the purchase of Strategic’s loan book – in full or part.

Liquidators join receivers at Dominion Finance

Dominion Finance Group has been placed in liquidation by the High Court at Auckland today.

Associate Judge Faire appointed William Black and Andrew Grenfell of McGrathNicol liquidators of the firm.

Perpetual Trust applied to put the company in liquidation, following its receivership last September.

Creditor BOS International (Australia) had lodged a stay against the application for liquidation but withdrew this on the proviso that McGrathNicol were appointed to the role.
