Techcrunch hacked in the wake of China's Gmail attack

You know the hackers are good when they break into a technology site as was the case when Techcrunch got slammed by cyber criminals.

On Monday, at about 10:30pm, the main site of Techcrunch was hacked and redirected. The site was briefly back up at 11:30pm but then went down again. Techcrunch said on its site that it regained control of the site at around 2am.

Twitter demanding $1 billion+ in Google takeover talks

TechCrunch continues to insist that talks between the two companies have taken place, citing "new sources" who say that only an argument over valuation blocking the way.

Over the weekend, the well-connected site stuck by its Friday story that Google and Twitter are in advanced negotiations.
