iPhone wide-open to hacks sent via text

An expert Mac hacker is warning that Apple iPhones are vulnerable to binary code attacks sent via text that could give the hacker complete control of the phone.

Charlie Miller is reportedly an authority on MacOS X security, and is a co-author of The Mac Hacker's Handbook.

Binary code can be sent to mobile devices using SMS, but normally any sent code isn’t executed.

Baycorp gets texting

Who needs big burly men to collect debts when you have the power of text message?

Baycorp is going new millennium, with technology that will allow the company to send debtors text, emails and phone calls before the debt collectors are sent out.

Baycorp general manager Joe Nel that the number of clients, the number of cases per client, the cost of those cases and amount of commercial debt had all increased.

“And my only prognosis is it is going to get worse,” he says.
