Vodka king buys Trilogy skincare company

The country's best known cocktail king has mixed with a local skincare company to conquer the world of beauty.

Listed company Ecoya – headed by Geoff Ross - has just bought 100% of Trilogy Natural Products for $10 million up front and will shell out up to $10 million of an additional earn out payment consisted of 50% paid in cash and 50% in Ecoya shares issued at $1 each.

Absolut has a new home

Pernod Ricard New Zealand has announced that it will take full control of Absolut Vodka on October 1.

The French wine and spirits company bought Vin & Spirit, owners of the iconic Vodka brand for a whopping $13.6 billion in March this year, ending its distribution arrangement with international spirits distributor Maxxium.

The price was considered to be at the top end of analyst estimates, and there is debate over whether the brand has much more growth potential having already reached saturation point in several markets.
