Former Fairfax Business Media publications editorial director Chris Keall will join The National Business Review next week.

One of the country’s foremost web and technology commentators, he will be a senior writer for NBR’s web and print editions. His multiple awards include two Qantas Media Awards for feature writing and the Magazine Publishers’ Associations award for Business Magazine Editor of the Year.

He was previously responsible for the editorial direction of the Australian-owned publishing stable including CIO, Computerworld, PC World and Reseller News and is a former editor of PC World and Internet Magazine. He has been a longtime contributor to Unlimited and authored the internet-explainer Download, published by HarperCollins.

A veteran of the technology sector, Keall says: ”I’ve seen as many products fail as succeed, and I’ve learned one key thing: When a technology takes off, it always happens faster than anyone expected and always with consequences few anticipated.”
