NZ: the infographic - Wiki New Zealand launches
Wiki New Zealand launched today, a new site chock full of infographics and data about Godzone and how we compare to other countries.
It's brainchild of Lillian Grace, who used to work for a think tank (the New Zealand Institute) but seems pretty talented regardless.
The site is under a Creative Commons license too, so anyone can pick up on its work (if they properly credit it).
Wiki NZ is a non-profit with charitable status pending.
Trustees include Kylie Pellett, daughter of the more famous Selwyn.
Check it out here.

Ah wikipedia - founded on the idea that 10,000 idiots know more than one expert who has spent their own life devoted to a subject. And then those 10,000 idiots are defended by a moderator appointed by one of their own who will carefully remove anything that disagrees with said idiots.
And this is why Wiki is not permitted as a source for anything.
This isn't Wikipedia. It's a place where data from places such as statistics NZ is made easier to interpret by being in a visual form.
You should go and look, all of the graphs state where the raw data was derived.

A really great initiative, Lillian. Thank you.
Cheque in the post, really.
Thank you Anonymous #2!
It has been really nice to get so many messages of support since launching on Sunday, they mean a lot to me personally.
For those not so supportive, feel free to contact me with any suggestions for enhancement: contribute@wikinewzealand.org
Cheers,
Lillian
