Romney cancels staff credit cards mid concession speech

NBC reports:

BOSTON -- From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.

Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

"Fiscally conservative," sighed one aide the next day.

They should never have had credit cards in the first place. If you are supporting a political candidate you should expect to meet your own expenses. Otherwise don't get involved.

That's not the point!!! Having given his volunteer staff credit cards, it is just such a disconnect from human decency for Romney to not allow his staff to get home on campaign funds thereby showing a callous disregard for the contributions made by people who believed in him. Only a mean spirited ungracious person would do such a thing!

Why on earth would anyone expect volunteers to support a massively wealth candidate just for the love of it and not even getting a taxi fare home? Romney paid millions out of his own wealth in his bid to get elected so there is no point of principle here at stake. One of the main premises of the Republican Party is persuading the majority of their voters to support a party that is not in their financial interests while the top 1% of the country's population garner ever more of the nation's wealth. Their tack has been to make their voters afraid of those less wealthy than themselves (eg the healthcare debate) instead of focussing on where the weath really lies. Good trick if you can pull it off, but they couldn't. So, Americans will now enjoy something close to universal health care like every other fully civilised country. Welcome to the 21st century!

He is not a caring person and he is a Mormon, that's why he's not the President. Anyone other than a mainstream Christian like a Catholic or a Protestant cannot be President. The republicans should have known this.

It's a pretty broad statement to say Mitt didn't get in because of his religious beliefs - care to back it up with any evidence?
