Our third national mobile carrier 2degrees apologised on Twitter this morning for swarming the site with tweets.

2degrees said through TweetDeck; “Sorry for the excessive tweets this morning. As a company we’re exploring different ways to use Twitter. This obviously wasn’t a winner.”

That makes Private Bin wonder whether other tweeters complained to the mobile phone company for question and answer tweets such as “A.Waiting for key decisions from the regulator. NZ’s used to duopoly market” – a not so subtle reference to Vodafone and Telecom, perhaps?

A variety of question tweets included; “Q: NZ as a regulated market? How do you rate it?  And “A.What companies to you admire or model your companies on?.

Oh, and apparently (according to Twitter) the company was chased out of the market in Slovenia due to high [and a controversial subject in New Zealand] mobile termination rates.
