Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples today announced appointments to the Maori TV board, Waitangi Tribunal and Maori Language Commission.
Wayne Walden was reappointed to the board of the Maori Television Service. Sir Harawira (Wira) Gardiner and Donna Gardiner were appointed to the board to replace outgoing members Rod Cornelius and Wena Tait.
"These appointments will provide leadership and guidance for the Maori Television Service as it moves into the next phase of its development," Dr Sharples said.
Tamati Reedy was appointed to the Waitangi Tribunal and Robyn Anderson was reappointed. Both will serve a three-year term.
Two new members, Te Awanuiarangi Black and Evelyn Tobin, were appointed to the Maori Language Commission board.
