Accountant censured after family arrangement turns sour

An accountant has been censured for a decades-long conflict of interest involving a family dispute that the NZ Accountants Disciplinary Tribunal says never should have gone to the tribunal, 

While the tribunal did not publish the accountant’s name NBR ONLINE understands it is Clive Quinn, the founder of Quinn Chartered Accountants, based in Auckland. 

At a hearing earlier this month Mr Quinn pleaded not guilty to charges of breaching the institute’s codes of ethics due a to conflict of interest.
