ACT's alternative budget 'frankly ridiculous' - economist

The ACT Party’s alternative budget has come under fire, with one economist saying it contains too much wishful thinking.

Infometrics economist Matt Nolan told NBR ONLINE he is genuinely disappointed by the alternative budget put forward by ACT because it makes too many claims for the impact of its policies.

“There are a lot of good ideas in it but to claim they will increase the economic growth by 5% is frankly ridiculous,” Mr Nolan says.
