Analyst's call on coming steel industry year

A shrinking global steel market is undermining the industry's business model, Forsyth Barr analyst Rob Mercer says.

Listed constructions materials supplier Steel & Tube reported a 23% fall in annual profit to $13.1 million, as dwindling demand and stiff competition squeezed margins.
