Another aged care provider mulls listing amid private equity investment

The country’s largest unlisted rest home operator is mulling whether to list on the stock exchange, after an ownership shake-up and operations expansion.

Radius Residential Care was established in 2003 and is majority owned by managing director Brien Cree, through trustee company Wave Rider Holdings.

Last month, Auckland-based private equity firm Knox Investment Partners brought 30% of the company from two major shareholders, who exited the business. Knox’ managing directors Bret Jackson and Tim Sumner have taken two of five places on the Radius board.
