ANZ boss watches for LVR policy effect on future earnings

ANZ Bank's New Zealand chief executive David Hisco says its still too early to make predictions on how loan-to-value ratio restrictions will affect future earnings after the bank reported healthy boosts in income and lending activity for the September year.

The country’s largest lender saw cash profit rise to $1.44 billion for the year-end September 30 from $1.29 billion the year prior. Statutory profit rose 8% to $1.37 billion.
