Award-winning restaurateur has receivers appointed to eatery

An award-winning Wellington restaurateur has had receivers appointed to his latest eatery.

Jonathan England's company PDT, which traded as The Eating House, had receivers PricewaterHouse Coopers appointed to it earlier this week.

A notice on the door of The Terrace restaurant said it had closed its doors due to “a long period of adverse trading conditions and financial pressure”.

PDT was incorporated in August 2010.

Mr England was the founder of one-time Miramar fine dining restaurant Two Rooms, which won a number of Corban's wine and food awards.
