Big wigs skewer Tony Molloy's 'deplorable' attack on justice system
Legal heavyweights are ganging up on Auckland QC Tony Molloy after his withering criticism of the New Zealand judicial system.
Last week he told NBR ONLINE the public is “being shafted by the manner in which the judiciary is being deployed”.
Calling for the introduction of specialist High Court judges, he said “for the so-called justice system to charge daily hearing fees for judges so badly mismatched to their cases in hand is fraudulent”.
His comments have outraged some of the big wigs in the legal profession, from Attorney-General Chris Finlayson down.
