Briefcase: Evgeny Orlov's return, Jones on property, who killed the law professor?

The extent to which a fearless advocate can, or even should, criticise a judge is an issue that has exercised the minds of many lawyers over time. But Auckland defrocked and now refrocked lawyer Evgeny Orlov has rendered the process to art-form status with his obsessive pursuit of Justice Rhys Harrison who has variously been identified by Mr Orlov as someone of bias, racial prejudice, a judge who “had it in” for Mr Orlov and was nothing less than a danger to the public.
