Brits advise NZ farmers to keep their cool

Overt criticism of UK carbon footprint policies can do more harm than good, according to the British High Commission.Speaking at the Agricultural and Horticultural Outlook Summit in Wellington yesterday, Acting British High Commissioner Dr Mike Cherrett shared observations gleaned from recent meetings with government, retailer and consumer groups in the UK.He reassured industry members that while carbon labelling is gathering popularity, food miles are not part of official UK government policy.
