Car companies step away from TV as main advertising outlet

Amid a report that television is still the king of New Zealand media, two car companies are looking to other platforms and stepping away from the status quo.

Land Rover and Holden are looking to radio and online video because these media can hold longer ads and can engage specific audiences.

A New Zealand On Air report released last week revealed that 95 percent of Kiwis still watch TV throughout the week. Radio exposure followed at 83 percent while around half of Kiwis watch online video throughout the week.
