Disgruntled apartment owners attempt body corporate overthrow
Disgruntled owners of units in Auckland’s Empire apartment building have gone to court in a bid to overthrow current management.
Lihua, which trades as Auckland Rentals, made a successful bid in the Court of Appeal bid to get fellow owners’ information, so it can try to overthrow the current management. The student accommodation block has 313 units.
Lihua is an owner, which supports a group of about 20 owners which call themselves “the Empire Body Corporate Committee.”
