Election 2014: The Minors' Strike

The Green Party must be quite relieved its conference was this weekend.

The rising left-wing party was able to recapture some of the momentum grabbed over the past week after former issues director Laila Harre emerged as leader of Kim Dotcom’s Internet Party.

It gave the Green Party a chance to grab the top of the news bulletins and mindshare across the media landscape and it appears to have done so successfully: its carbon tax proposal led the news and the conference was, by all accounts, well run.
