Ford will be missed but others rev up for V8 Supercars
What will become of the Ford versus Holden V8 Supercar battle when the ceases production in 2016?
The show will go on.
For a start, while the V8 Supercars racing series was exclusively an Australian-brand affair for many years, others are joining the fray.
Nissan is in, as is Mercedes-Benz (under the Erebus Motorsport team).
In fact, there are only six Fords in the 28-car field this year.
V8 Supercars chairman Mark Skaife has claimed at least one more maker will join the series for 2014. Potentially more.
