Four-nation farmers' grouping calls for no food tariffs in TPP agreement

In an unprecedented move, farmer organisations and food producers in four countries, including New Zealand, have warned their negotiators in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) of the dangers of agreeing to a deal that excludes “sensitive products."

Along with New Zealand, the farmers’ groups in the US, Canada and Australia have all called for total the elimination of tariffs on agricultural and seafood products.
