Frontrunners to replace Williamson emerge

Paul Goldsmith and Louise Upston have emerged as frontrunners to replace Maurice Williamson.

Mr Williamson was forced to resign as minister yesterday after allegedly interfering in a police investigation involving National Party donor Donghua Liu.

According to Victoria University’s online predictions market, iPredict, the probability of Mr Goldsmith being the replacement minister is 78.6%, while Ms Upston’s chances are 23.2%.
