Funds under management nearing 2007 highs

New Zealand's total funds under management, including funds managed for other managers, reached $53.7 billion at the end of March, according to new FundSource data.This was a significant improvement from the same time last year when funds were at rock bottom having just been hammered by the global financial crisis.Total funds under management are up 14.3% compared to March 2009 ($47.0 billion) but still slightly below their June 2007 peak of $55.8 million.
