Greens' money printing policy too much for Labour

Picture the scene.

As the Green, Labour and New Zealand First leaders gathered on the platform in Christchurch this week, was Green co-leader Russel Norman about to launch forth, yet again, on the merits of “quantitative easing” or printing money?

Did Labour leader David Shearer’s lips move?

And did he, like a grumpy parent, admonish Dr Norman, “Shut UP. You’re EMBARRASSING us.”?

Perhaps.

Because the Green co-leader and would-be finance minister has gone off the whole idea, he announced today.
