'Hands off the WOF' Murph not in it for the money

Racing driver Greg Murphy bristles at suggestions the “Hands off the WOF campaign” is all about money and not safety.

Mr Murphy is the poster boy of the Motor Trade Associaton inspired campaign, which is fighting government moves to shake up the six-monthly vehicle inspection system, possibly scrapping it altogether.

MTA members stand to lose a large slice of a $250-million-a-year industry which has grown up around the issuing of warrants of fitness.
