Guilty accountant to pay for ethics breach

Invercargill accountant James Hennessy has been ordered to pay $19,376 in costs after pleading guilty to breaching the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ code of ethics.

The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) has also censured the WHK accountant following a disciplinary hearing in Wellington this week.

The hearing was before Richard Hoare, Peter Scott, Mike Whale and Bethia Gibson.
